Equiel Quiroz

Equiel Quiroz is originally from Nicaragua and moved to the United States five years ago. As an immigrant, he has faced significant obstacles, including learning a new language.

Equiel graduated in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing at the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) in Managua, Nicaragua.

His first work experience was with a non-governmental organization dedicated to defending the rights of women, children, and adolescents, as well as strengthening democracy in Nicaragua. This experience developed in Equiel a deep social awareness, making him a staunch believer and fighter for the rights of everyone.

Equiel's native language is Spanish. However, due to his passion for Brazilian culture, he also is fluent in Portuguese. Now, with the challenges of his new home, he has learned to speak English. Since 2022, Equiel has offered tutoring at Laney College to support young immigrants in their English classes and empower them to fight for their rights.

Equiel joined Santanna Law in 2024. As an immigrant, it is important for Equiel to help and collaborate with underprivileged communities, thus demonstrating his commitment to social justice and support for those in need.
